COLOR CRITIQUE FOR JESSICA

1. The pop color of this image is the doll on the wall. The wall is gray, and the doll is dark blue. The picture is well balanced. It used "third rule" and well exposed. The range of tone of this picture is a little dark. But it changed light to dark from left to right which part is main size of this picture. The doll has three main colors which are white, purple, and dark blue. If I would take this picture, I preferred to put the doll in the middle but not on the golden section ratio point. Because on the dress of the doll, there is a window, it can give audience a "Picture in Picture" feeling. This picture gives me a kind of lonely but not cold.

2. The pop colors of this image are the colors of  little balls which are in the front blue and green. It is well balanced. It has three gradations. The first is the two balls in the front. They are at the focus point. The second is the other balls. The third part is the background which has a shelf. The first gradation is blue and green which are cool tone. The most colors of the second gradation are white, purple and yellow which are warm tones. This picture makes me think about a song which is called "Rainbow Candy". Candies with the colors of the rainbow can make your a dream come true when you eat one.

3. The pop color of this image is green. It is well balanced in this picture. Rule of thirds. Green, purple and green are the three main colors. The candle is burning can make you feel the warmth. But around the candle light, there is nothing else but only a corner of the wall. A lonely candle light stayed in the corner with the loneliness. But it is still burning and give the warmth.

4. The pop color is the gray one the tombstone. It is well balanced in this picture. Rule of third, vertical format, curvilinear lines and converging lines. The picture shows a person lied in side with the fully devout attitude to the God, silently and peacefully. The blur background tells that the past life is all nihility. At the end everyone will be a box of dust.

5. Even though the four colors are interlaced, it still has some art and aesthetics. Different colors and threads go different ways but at last they make a whole ball which is mellow and full. It shows a kind of multivariate  and  inclusive spirit of society.

6. Sumless of straws contribute a big one. Every individual has its own color. But when they get together, they make a small but colorful world. It used rule of third and well balanced. The colorful straws make you have the desire to try the drinks. Maybe the owner of the straws is a person with a colorful life even she never uses single color straw. What a colorful life!

7. Dandelion!!! The pop color of this picture is white. And background is green. It is well balanced. I love this picture. It shows the strength in the as weak as dandelion. Smashed into pieces but every small piece is a hope of the future. It will be in full bloom somewhere and someday. Destroy means the rebirth. I love this spirit.

8. Color crayon! This picture takes advantage of white background to show the colors of crayon. It well balanced. Different colors can draw different stories and different worlds. From the crayon, I can feel children's curiousness to the colorful word.

9. When I saw this picture, I felt hungry. It well balanced. If I would take this picture, I would like to change the angle. I prefer to shoot from the top of the cake. So it will show the big piece of cream and a round of strawberry and a round of bread. At the left corner, there is something blue which is the flaw of this picture. But it is still good!.

10. Hey Jessica. How sweat life you have!!! Well balanced. Rule of thirds and frame with in the frame. I love Jessica's pictures. All of them express the colorful life and the deep thought of life. Keeping going. Art is the love to the life. It doesn't matter it's your major or not.
